Tree planting in Balaam's Wood
Richard joined local residents in Frankley at the end of February to help plant 15 new oak trees along Ormond Road. These trees will mark a new boundary for the Balaam's Wood Local Nature Reserve.
The tree planting was organised by the Friends of Balaam’s Wood, after they successfully applied for a grant from the Birmingham Trees for Life project.
After the tree planting Richard said:
'It is great that open green spaces like Balaam’s Wood are available for local residents – and for local wildlife too. I would like to thank the Friends of Balaam’s Wood for inviting me to take part in their tree planting and congratulate them for the work they are doing.’
