Paid Employment Details
Since first being elected in 1992, my only paid employment has been as full time Member of Parliament for Birmingham Northfield.
Positions of responsibility in voluntary or charitable organisations
Member of the Members’ Council of the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Motor Group, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Electoral Reform, Vice Chair of the Labour Campaign for Electoral Reform, Chair of the Britain-Palestine All Party Parliamentary Group, Policy Chair of Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East.
All of the above positions are unpaid and I may continue to hold them if reelected.

Land and property
I have my main family home in Birmingham and a flat I own in London where I stay to attend Parliament. Apart from those I have no other interest in land or property.

I have no significant shareholdings (i.e. over £65,000 in value or greater than 15% of the share capital of the company or body).

I have not claimed to be, or been treated as not resident, not ordinarily resident or not domiciled in the UK for tax purposes.
