Money Matters Advice Event (15 April 2009)

MONEY MATTERS
A drop-in advice event for local residents
on Wednesday 15th April, 11AM – 1PM
at Northfield Shopping Centre - Unit 48 (by Wilkinsons)

These are tough times right across the world including here in Birmingham. As the global recession bites, people are understandably concerned about their jobs and what the future holds. That is why it is so important that the Government is doing all it can to get the economy moving again and make sure people get the support they need.

I know that many local people are worried about their personal situation right now. That’s why I am campaigning to make sure that everyone in Northfield gets the real help they need now – to make sure that everyone gets a fair deal.

On Wednesday 15th April I will be holding a drop-in advice event in Northfield Shopping Centre (by the Wilkinson store). You can come along between 11AM and 1PM to find out more about what support is available and get advice from a range of organisations including the Citizens Advice Bureau, Communisave, the Council's debt advice team and Warm Zone.

If you are worried about your financial situation, want to find out how you can save both energy and money by making your home more energy efficient or just want advice about how to make sure you’re getting the most out of your money, then come along – no appointments necessary. And I will also be there to discuss any issues you might want to raise with me.

I look forward to seeing you there.
