A first class Christmas for Northfield –

Earlier today I visited the Royal Mail’s delivery office in Northfield to see how local postal workers are dealing with the mountains of festival mail to ensure they deliver a first class Christmas for Northfield residents.

It was a very early start but it was great to have the opportunity to meet the Delivery Office Manager and some of the 45 postmen and women who are responsible for ensuring that the Christmas mailbag is delivered to over 23,000 addresses in Northfield.

It is always a pleasure to visit the Northfield delivery office at Christmas time. Postal workers provide a valuable service all year round but especially at this very busy time of year when we all rely on them to send cards and presents to friends and family across the country. Everyone values their hard work.
