Parliamentary Report (29 October 2008)
You should hopefully soon be receiving a copy of my Parliamentary Report through your letterbox.
I have always believed it is important that MPs keep in touch with the people we represent. For me, having a local team helping me and running regular advice surgeries is part of that. Like you I live in the Northfield constituency – this is our community.
This report will let you know some of the things I have been doing on your behalf – both in Parliament itself and locally. This may be helping to bring in changes to improve people’s lives. Or it might be asking questions of those in authority – whether nationally or from the Council here in Birmingham. Sometimes that may be awkward for them. But it’s all part of my duty to the people of this area.
That’s why my team and I want to hear your views on the issues that concern you. We can’t promise to solve every problem. But we will always do our best to help.
