PCSO Laura Hurry awarded (11 September 2008)
![]()
On 11th September I presented a special award of merit to PCSO Laura Hurry in thanks for her life saving actions on behalf of the Committee of the Frankley and Rednal Police Liaison.
Laura is a great asset to the local community – not least because her actions have helped to save the lives of at least three people. Most recently, supported by PCSO Kerry Floody, she helped to save the life of a heart attack victim. It was the CPR Laura administered that kept the victim alive until the paramedics arrived.
Laura will soon be joining the West Midlands Police as a probationary PC. It will be a shame to see her leave Frankley but I am sure she will be an asset to the West Midlands Police Force. I would like to thank her again on behalf of the Committee and all the residents of Frankley for her service to our community over the last couple of years.
