Selly Oak New Road -
Many constituents have signed a petition calling for the Selly Oak New Road to be built as a dual carriageway. In October 2009 I wrote to the Department for Transport, Birmingham City Council and the Highways Agency to raise this issue. You can read copies of their replies below.

In January 2010 I met with the Secretary of State for Transport, Lord Adonis, to present a petition signed by 5,226 local residents calling for Selly Oak New Road to have two lanes each way instead of one.
In February I received a formal reponse from Lord Adonis to the petition.
